Thanks to Inky for choosing De Vulagre Eloquentia, which he, Cathy, Dean, Simon & me played. Interesting game & Inky won by becoming Pope! I was last, sorry I don't have scores with me at moment.
Played it again last nite & went much smoother & quicker. I stayed as only merchant but amazingly I won!
Turns out I did not lose a piece of turn marker as round 11 is left blank intentionally. Also Merchants stop paying religious people after turn 11. Not sure if we did this but all are summoned to start turn in Rome on final turn (ie Pope's death).
Also we played wrong (ie I taught wrong) as you execute entire block of moves at once before other actions & so things like collecting income, abbesses, events etc need to be done before or after moves, not in-between Makes sense in that every other 'block of actions' executed together too (other thing we did wrong was when manuscripts became less actions to use, their minimum knowledge level stayed the same, ie most of us should not have gotten Level 4)
