"Hardcorestew":
Wasn't Chooi tyrant with me and andy the first week??
"Grimwold":
Dean, Toby and Al were "masters" on 7th October...
John should also be added to the list... I think he's been every week since he started coming 6 weeks ago.
"Hardcorestew":
Would this mean that with PhilB on the rota that he will have 2 consecutive weeks of GM to catch up with the rest? If that is the case if anyone joins in 6 or 12 months time, how many GM will they be owed?? Should a limit be set on the number of GM nights that a player will be owed??[quote="Grimwold"]
I think it was discussed that you should be a GM this week, Eddy, since it's your last time with us... aside from that, PhilM, Toby, and RichardC are all still owed a second turn... plus PhilB should be on the rota now, since he's started coming regularly... then it's Stew and Chooi for their 3rd shout... "brendannewell":
How about if when it becomes clear that a person is a regular (as with Phil), they get added to the bottom of the list?
"Chooi":
honestly I do not mind either way. when someone becomes 'regular', I am happy for them to go into next slot even assuming they have been there a few weeks.
"deanrthomas":
I agree this is a good idea... Probably would help if the weekly thread got posted a bit earlier, and listed the potential GMsI think it is working OK.
It works best when people are organised and have prepared things in advance.
It would perhaps be helpful for the next scheduled GMs to confirm or not (de-confirm??) their attendance for the next session.
That way, the people further down the list have a chance to plan if necessary.
"deanrthomas":
I don't think we've suggested taking anyone out of the rota?
As long as they've paid their fiver, they're in it for the year.
If they only turn up every 7 weeks and GM every time, I don't think that's a problem. It doesn't affect anyone else.
Anybody disagree?
I've updated the GM list for the last couple of weeks, so to the best of my knowledge it is correct.. .there may have been one or more others who picked on the 21st June. But I'm not sure who was there.
I added 28th June and 5th July... Herm also mentioned having Picked in a previous week, so I added that as the 21st June.
I'm down for having done 2 weeks on the run... basically I took Mansions of Madness last night (because Jaime had wanted to try it) and a ton of people wanted to play it. There was no-one there from the top of the list, and several people said they were happy for it to be their pick.. but since it's my game, I'm happy to take the hit.. especially since I had missed about a month.
Me, inky and don (I think)
I wasn't really GM as such last week, so I'd like another opportunity.
Me, John and Cathy were delayed by a traffic jam on the m60 so by the time we got there there was no option but to play a game amongst ourselves. I hadn't brought any games suitable for 3 so we ended up playing something else.
'twas I.
I've updated the list. B-)
ooh am top of list! Well, will come Tue 18th Oct next, night before flying off to Essen next day! Have Blood Bowl Manager preordered so hope to get it by then. If not will bring something else thing then. Cya all soon then.
hope helps folks plan GM next couple of weeks in meantime
27th December:
With it being so close to Christmas and New Year's, only 4 people attended this evening:
Andy Daniel Me Chooi
We started late, thinking more might arrive and not wanting them to be left out. In the end, we played one good game of Olympos (Chooi's choice as tonight's GM). Andy won the game but it was a very close one, despite Chooi's constant protestations that he was "so screwed" and that he was "last and so screwed" (various other phrases also followed, generally containing the words "so screwed"). Good game.
